How Guess the Sound works

The game in 5 steps

1. Pick a game mode — Normal (10 rounds, 4 choices) or Challenge (15 rounds, 3 choices, timed)
2. Pick a category — from pets and kitchen to music and nature
3. Listen to the sound clip using the play button
4. Guess what the sound is from the options
5. Earn points, beat your record and share your result with friends!

Game modes

🎮 Normal — 10 rounds with 4 answer options. Perfect to get started and practice.

⚡ Challenge — 15 rounds with 3 answer options and a timer. For those who really want to test their knowledge.

Categories

Sounds come from many categories: pets, kitchen, music, nature, transport, sports, office and more. Each category has its own mix of easy and tricky sounds.

Tips to score higher

• Use headphones — you'll hear small details much better
• Feel free to replay the clip several times
• Think about the 'mood' of the sound: indoors or outdoors, big or small, fast or slow?
• Start with categories you know and work your way to the harder ones
